Kelly - Clara Street, SF
"Convenience. I just like wearing dresses, it's so much easier for me to deal with."
I really like her houndstooth dress, pink ballet flats and no-fuss hair/make-up add a casual flair. I also like her handbag, which is structured to be extended out to a rectangular bag with handles or folded in half with a chain strap as a purse (it's in the purse configuration).

thanks for the 411 candid cool, i had no idea it was a bcbg bag.
Pretty pretty dress!
i love it. i love the shoes too!
so, when you ask people to take their picture, what do you say? and do you tell them it's for your blog? and then give them the address to check it out later?
i really, really love this idea.
@aubrey - i'm totally upfront about why i want to take their picture. here is a post i wrote about it, last month: http://fashioni.st/2007/05/favorites-so-far.html.
it'd be silly to use subterfuge. i don't embarrass easily/ take rejection well, so i'm ideally suited to ask strangers to pose for me.
thanks for commenting.
hi mai, thanks for responding to my questions. i remember reading that post last month. you reminded me that i found you through blogs of note.
have you ever had someone say no? i REALLY want to do this here in my city, but am NOT so cool and confident as yourself. i just like fashion. do you give them your blog address to check out their picture? or do you just say, "it's for my blog. thanks. bye."
@aubrey, I actually had moo cards made (www.moo.com), so i take their photo, ask them a question and give them a card that has the url - i usu. give an estimate like 'it'll be on in 2 days or so'. my only advice to you is just do it. nothing i can say can make it any easier for you if you have a hard time with people saying 'no' because you'll get some 'no's, as well as a lot of 'yes's. i have no secret recipe, except i have a high tolerance for rejection.
