David - Haight Street, SF
"I think just a little bit of everything. Usually I would wear vintage stuff but during the week, I wear completely random stuff, whatever I like."
I really like his multitude of colorful layers.

Since discovering your site I know oggle people's clothing even more! I'm sorely tempted to start stopping people in the street, demanding where they bought their shoes/bag/coat/etc, and snapping a picture. How do you approach people when you want to take a photo, and what kind of camera do you use? Your shots are always so well-lit.
@kindle, i use a canon 20d and a 50mm/f 1.4 lens. i have a post in may 2007 that details how i approach people, but it is basically being courteous and asking. no special flourishes. if it stresses you out to speak to strangers, this may be difficult for you.
I just bought a pair of green suede sneaks by Simple that remind me of David's green Nikes. Like David, I wear them with not-green clothes; for some reason they are more appealing to me that way.
BTW, as a former San Franciscan now in Socal, I love the way you capture SF street fashion. Takes me back to the good ole days.
