Forgive my ignorance, but what's with all the surgical like masks? Air pollution?
sort of. it's the environmental pollution of dusty roads and exhaust that coat you when you're exposed in traffic. i personally walk around with a scarf around my nose/mouth (like a bandit).
What I love about this photo is the child's expression--contentment--and the poise with which he's sitting on the bike, confident that his mother will get him to school on time (he has his homework with him--he loves school?). And I love the woman's strength, pedalling hard, keeping their lives stable. Thank you for taking this! I love photos from Southeast Asia (I grew up in Bangkok); this reminds me of how much I miss living there.
