Feral Childe - Pool Tradeshow, Las Vegas

Feral Childe is the brainchild of Moriah Carlson and Alice Wu who started their business in Brooklyn, where they design, screen print and produce their line.

When I spoke to them, Alice said that she considers them bi-coastal now that she has moved to Oakland. Moriah is still in Brooklyn, so for the moment, everything is still done locally there.

Feral Childe's SS09 line is based on the idea of Yosemite and the wonders contained therein. Their quirky fun prints have an interactive side, the print on the green dress Moriah is wearing was the result of a snowflake contest. I love all the different surprises of off to the side plackets and uneven patterns and colors mixed in different ways. Everything is so lovely. A quick look at their stores page indicates that only Backspace in NoPa carries their stuff in SF. I'm gonna go there this weekend.
