Gretchen and Marty - 18th Street, SF (Barely Legal Microhood)

Gretchen: "Just feeling bright and colorful, I guess."
Marty: "Simplicity, I suppose."

I have a special place in my heart for pairs on fashionist. I like the ability to visually contrast people, to compare body language, and fashion choices. Here I like Gretchen's dress, but I also like how they both took care with choosing their sunglasses (this was the first hot day after what seemed like a month of gray skies) and how great their shoes look in cahoots with the other pair. (Though I concede that Gretchen wins here too.)


The aforementioned shoes acting unwittingly as a visual yin and yang.
