I like the proportions on Chris: his snug and small pea coat, his jeans, fitting, but not too tight. And I like the novelty that a suitcase is his merse.

You've seen Skeet before. He's one of my well dressed neighbors (nice blue shirt, white denim) and he plays in the Mindless Things, a garage-y band, which is fortunate since he dresses the part well. This time I left out a shot of his Converse, since he frequently wears them.

Sara has laryngitis, but she still kindly stopped to pose for me. I like her tweed skirt and her gold leaf like earrings and the thematic matching leaf brooch on her coat.


Her boots are faux lace-up boots, but the faux laces don't extend up the entire boot, it's like it gave up at 10 holes.

"I really like vintage wool things and things that just feel homey. And I like eclectic things, I like a lot of... I like jewelry, like antique pieces. Just things that are simple and really nice and beautiful."

I like her duo of gold chains with charms on them, her double breasted blazer with 3/4 sleeves, and her beautiful Saks Fifth Avenue skirt (see the rosette at the waist!).

The trappings of the cowboy in a distinctly urban setting done well. He's got the Members Only jacket over a western slim cut shirt, the belt buckle with studded leather belt, and boots that are more construction worker than rodeo.

Claire's blue sweater is the perfect fit/color for her punk preppy look. Notice how the blue of her sweater matches the floral pattern on her baroque fabric tote. I also have this ongoing crush with denim skirts and like her skirt's mid-thigh length and frayed edges.

Such a cute wool tartan jacket with asymmetrical closures. And I'll admit that it was her tights that really caught my eye and caused me to stop her.

"I like to dress like I'm playing a character. This is a little bit like my Italian going grocery shopping character."

I hereby bestow her with the honorary title: "Contessa of the Valencia Corridor". Love the mix of luxe fabrics: silk, wool jersey with cotton and straw(?). I also admire the fact that she has confidence in spades, especially since this was a cold day that included rain 30 minutes after I ran into her.

"I had a cold, so I was cold. This is just something I can walk around in and be warm."

She has a lot that catches the eye. She's playing with color blocking and an interesting, slightly unusual silhouette (i.e. 3/4 sleeve lengths that are different from each other), a smaller fit to her jacket, and metallic hosiery. In addition to all this, she's wearing cute aviator sunglasses she bought on the street across from UCLA.

"I guess I don't feel like I have a certain style. Sorry, that's a bad answer. Umm, well I guess I just did the short shirt because of the tall (high-waisted pants). I don't really think about it when I get ready. I guess I kind of like the 50s look, with the capris and the lipstick, I guess."

I like her crop striped orange blouse paired with the cropped acid washed high-waisted jeans. With the jacket and cap, there is something elven about her outfit.

An Icelandic native in SF! I love the silhouette of her coat (check out those sleeves, how they come out at a point and the tie at the neck - so good) and those bold striped leggings (I really want some). She looks so fantastic, I want to peek into her (no doubt fabulous) closet.
